IGSTC–iPEARL Global Colloquium Series: Frontiers in Infection Biology 

The second session of the IGSTC–iPEARL Global Colloquium Series on “Frontiers in Infection Biology” featured an insightful lecture by Prof. Sarah Teichmann FMedSci FRS (University of Cambridge), a globally renowned expert in human genomics and systems biology. 

Prof. Teichmann delivered a compelling talk on the Human Cell Atlas initiative, highlighting how advances in single-cell genomics are revolutionizing our understanding of human immunity and disease mechanisms. Her presentation underscored the transformative potential of high-resolution cellular mapping in addressing complex biological and translational research challenges. 

The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion, where early-career researchers had the opportunity to interact with the speaker. The conversation also included thoughtful reflections on the challenges and inspirations for women in science, making the session particularly enriching for young researchers. 

Co-hosted by Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC) and iPEARL, the colloquium series continues to serve as a platform for fostering dialogue between global experts and the scientific community in the field of infection biology and translational research.
